What you need to know: round brilliants
The round brilliant cut is the modern version of its predecessor, the Old Euro cut.
This is the only shape that has a GIA cut grading on the certificate.
Cut is the most important “C” for rounds. This will dictate how well the diamond reflects light, and therefore how sparkly it is.
Round brilliants have many facets (57!) making them great at hiding inclusions.
Round brilliants are typically 20% more expensive than other shapes.
